I'm excited to say that after two weeks of suspense, my "pmahomme" theme was selected as the winner of the phpMyAdmin Theme Contest. That means it will now be packaged as the official phpMyAdmin theme for versions 3.4+.

I was also invited to join core development team to continue efforts on the theme (and maybe some HTML clean up here and there :) going forward.

Here are some of the results form the contest if you're interested:

Thanks to everyone who voted. Look out for the latest version of phpMyAdmin coming soon!

Great

I found about your blog on bing and checked a few of your early posts. I hope you will continue the very good work. I just added your RSS feed to Feedburner. I’m seeing forward to reading more from you later on!…

table groups

I really like this theme... except for one thing:
on the tables list, when you have many databases, gropups are not enough visualy separated from other tables (<li class=group>).
In the classic theme it was easier to find table-groups.

Would it be posiible to fix it (maybe group title in bold, tables list more indented...)?

Excellent theme

This is a most excellent theme. I like the whitespace and clean style, you've done a great job making PMA even more user-friendly through design. I've been waiting on a theme like this for a long time. I used a custom one for a long time, but yours was better so I have just switched my local environment over to it.

Thanks!

Nice to hear you're finding PMA to be more user-friendly with this design. Thanks for the feedback!

Crap

This Design is terrible. I have problems to read the shadow fonts in firefox. I will change the provider if he does not disable this shit.

Ok, sorry, don't use it then.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

You can go back to the "Original" theme by logging on to your phpMyAdmin and setting the "Theme / Style" back to "Original" under the "Appearance Settings" panel on the homepage.

If you have trouble figuring all of this out, let me know.

BTW - What are you using PMA for?

Whoa!

My buddy just upgraded our PMA to 3.4 today... I gotta say, it feels so clean that I could eat off it! Excellent job, sir!

Sweet!

That was the point. Enjoy your dinner. : )

Thanks for the comment, sir!

Downloadable theme marked as compatible with phpMyAdmin 3.3

Is the theme still supported? Why is the theme marked as compatible with phpMyAdmin 3.3?
I hope you will support your theme in the future. It is a really great theme. 5 of 5 stars :)

Download for version 3.3

Hi there,

For versions older than 3.4 you can sill download it from here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pmahomme/

For version 3.4+ you get it just by installing PHPMyAdmin since it's been voted in as the new default theme.

Thanks for your feedback, glad you're enjoying it!

By far the best theme

Well done Mike, your theme is by far the best theme. Clear, concise, minimalistic.

Thank you. Clear, concise, minimalistic, is the point.

Many thanks. Your three words are what I very much like to hear when it comes to updating a notoriously outdated and complex UI design.
